En analysant les chroniques et autres récits de voyage de cette revue, nous chercherons à comprendre la façon dont les premiers cyclotouristes envisagent leur rapport au temps du loisir, ainsi que les visées axiologiques qui le déterminent. This article aims to study the origins of French cycle tourism, at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, through the magazine Le Cycliste, published in Saint-Étienne.
